Theresa discovered hoop dance seven years ago. Since then she has become passionate about this fun and expressive form of dance. As a full-time honors student at Penn State she used hooping to relieve stress and to stay in shape.
Theresa is one of the most skilled hoop dancers in the U.S. specializing in double and multi hooping, minis and poi moves. She is certified as a hoop dance fitness instructor by Hoopnotica, one of the leading Hoop Dance Instructor training companies in the country. Seeing children's faces light up while watching her hoop inspired her to take a “Teach Kids to Hoop” training course.
In 2014 Theresa was featured in Hooping.org for her fantastic performance at DuBois Community Days. She has performed at places like Stage AE in Pittsburgh and has been featured in numerous fairs, festivals, community events and private parties throughout the region. Events such as The Bloomsburg, Lycoming, Clearfield and Huntingdon County Fairs, DuBois Community Days (3 years in a row), Brockway 4th of July Celebration, Sunny 106 Kids Fair and many more.
